چکیده
Abstract PKS 2005−489 is a well-known, bright southern BL Lac object that has been detected up to TeV energies. In low-flux state it exhibits the expected multiwavelength double-peaked spectrum in radio− γ -ray band. The high-flux shows extreme flux variations X-ray band with hardening as well peculiar curved feature spectrum. Thus far, only source exhibit such feature. To study variability further, we obtained first hard of Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array. We compare quasi-simultaneous radio, optical, UV, soft and X-ray, data archival order its broadband behavior. find very consistent quiet spectral energy distribution, little variation shape or between 2012 2020 data. A possible explanation for flaring an additional component jet, possibly accelerated via magnetic reconnection, not co-spatial emission region.

Anisotropic X-ray emission in active galactic nucleus accretion discs
Straightforward models of X-ray reflection in the inner region of accretion discs predict that the primary X-ray flux and the flux reflected off the surface of the disc should vary together, albeit with a short light traveltime delay. Most of the observations, however, show that the X-ray flux can vary while the reflected features remain constant. Here we propose a simple explanation for this. ...
متن کاملAN X-RAY–SELECTED ACTIVE GALACTIC NUCLEUS AT z = 4.6 DISCOVERED BY THE CYDER SURVEY
We present the discovery of a high-redshift, X-ray–selected active galactic nucleus (AGN) by the Calan-Yale Deep Extragalactic Research (CYDER) survey: CXOCY J033716.7 050153, located at z 1⁄4 4:61, the second high-redshift AGN discovered by this survey. Here we present its optical, near-IR, and X-ray properties and compare it with other optical and X-ray–selected high-redshift AGNs. The optica...
متن کاملIonized Ultraviolet and Soft-X-ray Absorption in the Low Redshift Active Galactic Nucleus PG1126−041
We present here the analysis of ultraviolet spectra from IUE and an X-ray spectrum from ROSAT PSPC observations of the X-ray weak, far-infrared loud AGN, PG 1126−041 (Mrk 1298). The first UV spectra taken in June 1992, simultaneously with ROSAT, show strong absorption lines of NV, CIV and SiIV, extending over a velocity range from −1000 to −5000 km s with respect to the corresponding line centr...
متن کاملThe Vertical Structure and Ultraviolet Spectrum of X-ray Irradiated Accretion Disks in Active Galactic Nuclei
Motivated by recent work indicating that the UV continuum in AGN may be produced by reradiation of energy absorbed from X-rays irradiating an accretion disk, we present a calculation of the vertical structures and ultraviolet spectra of X-ray irradiated accretion disks around massive non-rotating black holes. After finding the radial dependence of vertically-integrated quantities for these disk...
